These classes are suitable for dogs that have no or little previous training experience or for those that have graduated from puppy class. Dogs can attend from 5 months of age with no upper age limit. There is no set length of time for this class, you can come for 6 weeks, 6 months or even longer!
Sometimes it can be frustrating having to wait for a new puppy course to start when you want to get socialising and training your puppy straight away. Why not bring them to puppy club whilst you wait, or even bring them whilst they’re on a puppy course for that extra socialisation and learning.
Why wait until your puppy is 12 weeks old to begin training? A 1:1 puppy package can begin as soon as you bring your puppy home, or even beforehand. It is so important to teach your puppy what is expected of them early on through positive reinforcement and create a wonderful relationship with them from the start.
1:1 training with Canine Connection is a great option if:
– you can’t commit to weekly classes or workshops
– your dog would struggle in a class environment with other dogs
– you want to work on a specific area of training, for example recall or loose lead walking
– you are experiencing issues at home, for example jumping up at visitors or over excitability
Does your dog bark, lunge, growl or spin when they see another dog? Dog reactivity can be a common and difficult problem for owners. Owners often try to get their dogs to meet lots of different dogs in the hope they will stop displaying the undesirable behaviours. However, this nearly always makes dogs worse as they are learning over and over again that other dogs are something to be worried about or overly stimulated and frustrated by.
Most behaviours that owners find unacceptable are perfectly normal for dogs. It is important to search for the root cause thinking about what the dog needs and how we can satisfy those needs in an acceptable way rather than just trying to fix the behaviour and suppress their natural instincts.
Canine Connection offers a dog walking and pet visit service. Whether it’s regular daily or weekly walks or a one off, we can cater for your needs. We can also visit or sit with your pet whilst you are out, during the day or in the evening. We will let them out into the garden, play with them, feed them and give them some tlc.
So often dogs are restricted to lead walks only as they can’t be let off their lead for a number of reasons. Do you have a dog like this and would like a safe and enclosed space to let them run around and also have exclusive use? Then look no further, why don’t you rent our beautiful enclosed paddock.
