My interest in dogs and dog-human communication only really began around 10 years ago when I was encouraged to see dogs in a different light by my partner whose love for animals I found to be infectious.

Having been terrified of dogs and cats as a child, I found it at first challenging and then interesting to be around dogs and cats.

I have two adopted dogs who sparked my interest in training due to their catalogue of special issues and the amount of time I have spent working on their problems.

I am currently working towards my dog training qualification with the IMDT and also attending a variety of seminars on the subject to keep up with the latest scientific discoveries.

I am constantly in awe of how intelligent dogs and other animals are and what they are capable of. When they are treated positively and handled with ethical, force-free methods, it is amazing what can be achieved.
